Our Process
We take the extra steps other companies won't to ensure we are making a high quality product.
Our Process
At MONTKUSH we squeeze our premium hemp flower into Rosin. It’s a slow, gentle, painstaking process that ensures a “cut above” purity. MONTKUSH has no solvents and chemicals.
Our Full Spectrum CBD begins as Certified Organic Hemp.
Our Flower has to be the best. We work hard to maintain Vermont’s Organic certification and cultivate AAA certified USDA organic hemp.
Why use Full Spectrum CBD?
Not all CBD is created equal. The hemp plant has multiple properties and cannabinoids that work together to offer various health benefits. The rosin extract we use preserves all naturally occurring cannabinoids making our CBD a full spectrum CBD.
Unlike full spectrum CBD, some brands use only hemp seed oil with nearly no cannabinoids and minimal traces of CBD. Other brands use just a few parts of the hemp flower, limiting many of its beneficial properties. Most brands use CBD isolate, which singles out this only cannabidiol (CBD). Isolate strips away all other beneficial cannabinoids that work together to create a complete experience.
Full Spectrum
Our full spectrum rosin is processed naturally and avoids exposure to chemicals.
Full spectrum CBD maintains all beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes present in the plant.
Isolate
Isolate requires that the hemp flower be processed with solvents or chemicals for extraction.
All other beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes have been stripped from CBD isolate.
At MONTKUSH
We utilize the entire flower by pressing the hemp plant into a rosin liquid. Our rosin contains all the cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes that work together to give you a complete spectrum profile, known as the entourage effect.
What is Rosin?
We use a unique method to extract our CBD and CBDA. After we harvest our flower, we freshly squeeze it to extract rosin. Rosin is a honey-like substance rich in beneficial cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. We don't use alcohol, ethanol, or chemicals in our extraction process. By exposing the flower to pressure, we preserve the terpenes, cannabinoids, fats, and lipids for a naturally potent concentration of CBD in our rosin. Our solventless process maintains every active ingredient, allowing you to experience the "entourage effect."
Full Spectrum Rosin for Full Effect
Our extraction yields rosin packed with all the plant's major and minor cannabinoids without stripping away any beneficial properties. These include, but are not limited to, CBD, CBDa, CBG, CBN, and many more cannabinoids that work together to offer the complete spectrum profile.
Get to know our Top Cannabinoids
CBD
The main cannabinoid in our products it is known to relieve pain as well as reducing anxiety and depression.
CBDA
In raw cannabis, all active compounds are first prevalent in the form of acids, as is the case with CBDa.
THC
Our products contain below .03% of THC, but even trace elements of the compound are important in enacting the entourage effect.

Suggested for aiding in inflammation without activating any of the endocannabinoid receptors in the body. The researched benefits of CBC increases when combined with other cannabinoids.
CBG
Considered a minor cannabinoid. Known to enact benefits through an interaction with the CB1 & CB2 cannabinoid receptors in the brain.
THCA
The acidic precursor to THC. Below .03 % of all the cannabinoids present in our products but is equally as important for to experience the full spectrum profile.
Get to know our top Terpenes.
Terpenes are most widely known as being responsible for flavor, aroma, and suggested pain relief. Research has identified over 200 terpene varieties in cannabis plants only being naturally retained in full spectrum rosin. Terpenes are known for having powerful aromatherapy and calming benefits. With our genetics and extraction process, we have specifically grown and preserved these terpene-rich plants that aid in offering the entourage effect. Below are a few of the top terpenes found in our CBD.
Caryophyllene
A spicy, peppery terpene found in many different edible plants, it's is also found in black pepper and cinnamon. Studies indicate that this one small terpene is capable of performing the big job of treating anxiety, depression, and inflammation.
Farnesene
Known for their presence in green apples, its flavor is citrusy and woody, similar to other terpenes found in fruit. Its benefits include muscle relaxer, calming and sedative effects, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties.
Bisabolol
A sweet and floral aroma with hints of citrus and spice. Known for its suggested anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that have been used for a variety of skin conditions. Also researched as an antioxidant that contributes to the overall medicinal benefits of the hemp plant.

MONTKUSH Frequently Asked Questions.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp plants and has many potential therapeutic benefits. CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it does not induce any feelings of being “high.” Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, compounds derived from hemp plants are legal and consumers can enjoy the many benefits this natural compound provides. In fact, CBD is one of 113 cannabinoids found in hemp, and research into their many possible uses is ongoing.
Why CBD?
CBD is commonly used to address anxiety, and for patients who suffer through the misery of insomnia, studies suggest that CBD may help with both falling asleep and staying asleep. CBD may offer an option for treating different types of chronic pain. A study from the European Journal of Pain showed, using an animal model, CBD applied on the skin could help lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis. Another study demonstrated the mechanism by which CBD inhibits inflammatory and neuropathic pain, two of the most difficult types of chronic pain to treat. More study in humans is needed in this area to substantiate the claims of CBD proponents about pain control.
What is rosin?
Rosin is a honey/wax-like substance that is the main ingredient in our CBD oils. Rosin carries all the CBD molecules and all the minor cannabinoids and terpenes present in the hemp plant. CBD rosin is the concentrated compound from hemp-extracted using the careful application of pressure and heat to the cured and dried parts of the hemp plant, in our case, the flowers.
How does MONTKUSH produce its CBD oil?
MONTKUSH CBD oils are made in our own processing facility in Vermont. Once the hemp is harvested from our farm, it is sent to be pressed to extract the CBD rosin. The rosin is mixed with organic coconut oil as a carrying oil. You can learn more about the benefits of using coconut oil as a carrier oil here. Once we have mixed the CBD rosin with the coconut oil, we filter it, bottle it, and that's it!
Where does the CBD come from?
Our CBD comes from Vermont certified organic hemp, grown on our own farm near Plainfield, Vermont. We grow using top quality hemp strains that result in quality full spectrum CBD rosin.
What is a chemical-free (or solventless) extraction method?
Chemical-free extraction involves obtaining CBD rosin from hemp flowers using nothing more than heat and pressure. By exerting more than 30 tons of pressure and low heat, we extract pure CBD rosin from our hemp flower. This leaves us with a purely natural product that keeps intact minor cannabinoids and terpenes alongside high amounts of CBD. All extracted without having to use any chemicals.
How do I take MONTKUSH CBD oil?
You can take our CBD oil sublingual (under your tongue) or add it to your favorite beverage. If you take it sublingually we recommend holding it under your tongue for at least 30 seconds. To learn more about dosing and how much CBD might be right for you click here.
What is the right bottle for me?
The right Milligram(mg) amount depends on what effects you are looking for. Our CBD oil can help manage stress, and inflammation enhances mood, and promote a good night's sleep. To learn more about what bottle and dose might be right for you should check our Dosing Guide.
What does full spectrum mean?
The term full spectrum means the product contains CBD and other minor cannabinoids and terpenes that, when taken together, work in tandem, providing a more comprehensive effect than just CBD alone.
Why is 3rd party testing important?
It is important to make sure your CBD is 3rd party lab tested. Having CBD 3rd party lab-tested independently verifies the purity quality and amount of CBD present in each bottle of CBD oil. All of our 3rd party lab results can be found here.
